Cecilia Kraitz

Cecilia Kraitz operates a web site at www.kraitz.nu/hem.html for her Raku pottery. This lovely woman and brilliant artist not only creates beautiful pottery, but also has an excellent sense for good music. She shows some of the workings of her craft on her website. I was amazed and fascinated by this interesting subject. Check it out.

Steve Ratcliffe

Steve Ratcliffe wrote the Linux MIDI program, Pmidi that I use routinely in my music lab. Pmidi happens to be a commonly used MIDI program for Linux using the Alsa drivers. Steve is also an artist. I found original paintings and drawings on the Steve Ratcliffe website. I am grateful to Steve, not only for the Pmidi software, but for displaying a link to the Kandid image creation software site.

Thinking Plague

Progressive rock died thirty years ago when most of its artists changed their styles in a more commercial direction, and stayed that way. The Thinking Plague is bringing back the progressive rock we knew in the early 70's. This is first rate art rock. I appreciate music in which every note has significance, and the music speaks to your heart. This is also music for people who like quality instrumental performance by the musicians. The singer actually has a nice-sounding voice--a rare phenomenon in music of any kind.
